Beautiful day on Maui.  The wind and the surf both came back today.  The wind being a welcome relief to cool off the hot weather, and also finally the kiteboarders and windsurfers are back in the water.  This time of year people flock to Maui for sailing. 

They have been dead in the water for a couple weeks with no wind.  This morning I was surprised to see surf.  My wife drop me off for a coast run this morning. So I paddled down the coast, I pulled up to this one secret break and Pete Jalbert, a fellow Realtor was out tearing it up.  I caught a couple waves then move on down the coast.  Later in the day, I threw my windsurf gear in the car and headed to Kanaha Beach Park.  I was able to get a couple hours in, turned out to be a great day.  If if the north shore of Maui life style appeals to you.  Check this link for homes on the northshore.

Wailea Maui Hawaii is just an amazing place.  We have world class beaches and golf courses. 5-star hotels and restaurants. One of my favorite places is Ho'olei Wailea town-homes. This quality project is located across the street from The Grand Wailea Hotel and Spa.  There are 120 unit town-homes that are 2-story with elevators. I know with this current market Buyers have been taking a wait and watch position.  Up till now I think that was a great call.  But what I am seeing now is some great buys turning up in the market.  If you wanted to buy Wailea Condo, Hoolei Wailea Maui Townhomes has incredible buys currently.  A lot of units are priced under what they paid last  year.

 Here are ten reasons that people will keep coming back to Maui.  This is also the reason Maui is a great real estate investment, or a place to call home!

1. We have perfect weather through out the year.  Yes we do get our storms now and then in the winter, but over all great weather.

Hana Maui is like an island unto it's self.  The drive is so beautiful to Hana with water falls and fragrant flowers.  I love to stop at Hana Hotel and have breakfast.  The Hotel is so Hana and the food is ono.  Most people just drive to Hana and drive back.  Get out of your car and go for a hike at the 7 pools, and jump off some cliffs into some cool refreshing pools.  Visit Hamoa Beach and enjoy the day and kick back.  It feels like you are in Tahiti.A must visit is a sunrise drive up to the Haleakala Crater. There is something spiritual about a morning sunrise at the crater. Make sure you bring a jacket.
6. A visit to up country Maui, to old Makawao Town.  In the old days this was a cowboy town.  During the 4^th of July Rodeo it was not uncommon to have a drunken cowboy ride his horse into the local watering hole. Things have changed now they leave the horse our side.
7. Visit North Shore Maui for some amazing surfing and windsurfing at Hookipa beach Park.  Hookipa is my home break, where my sons grew up surfing. On a Hugh day you can watch some of the best windsurfers in the world riding some amazing waves.
8. Kanaha Park is a very international windsurfing spot. You will meet people from all over the world and it brings them back every year for the trade winds and good sailing. This is my favorite place to sail.
9. Paia Fish market on the north shore has great fish sandwiches and tap beer. A favorite of visitor and locals a like.
10. Wailea quality hotels and beaches.

So with Maui being such an incredible place, this will always draw the beach lovers, and people looking for a tropical hideaway. For this reason the Maui real Estate market will always be an attraction for new Maui real estate buyers.

What can I say, this is one of my favorite times of the year.  We are headed into summer and the weather is perfect.  It is also a great time to travel to Maui.  Before June hits there are some great travel deals.  I am hearing $330 for round trip to Maui from L.A.

There are also some great lodging discounts this time of the year.  I like to travel inter-island and take advantage of low prices.

Currently there are some great real estate buys in Maui.  As Buffet just was quoted saying, this might be the bottom of Pearl Harbor.  In Wailea if you are looking for homes, prices have been coming down.  There are a number of homes that you could not touch a couple years ago.

Hoolei Wailea Townhomes has some incredible deals.  In some cases priced under $1Million for what they paid last year. 

There also have been some incredible deals Up-Country Maui homes for sale.  I have been showing property to a couple up-country buyers and there are a few screaming deals.  How about large 3BR homes, with beautiful decor and incredible ocean views price at $1.2M.  This was unheard of a couple years ago.  So if your looking for property on Maui, drop me a line for the latest deals in Maui.
